The Reading Blue Coat School offers a fantastic 25 metre pool in Sonning, just outside of central Reading. This pool is kept at a comfortable 28.5c which is great for beginners learning to swim and not too warm as you progress into lane swimming.

Closed off from the public, this school pool is perfect for hosting small group adult swimming lessons with no distractions from the public. This venue has ample free parking available to use during your lesson time, just a stone’s throw from the pool.

The Reading Blue Coat School is situated near to Reading Cricket Club and Inglewood House; opposite Woodley Saints Football Club.

If you’re coming from Charvil Lane it’s round the corner from the Ivy, and the Bull Inn.

If you’re coming from London Road, it’s near Frankie and Benny’s, or Marks and Spencer’s.

From Central Reading, head towards Sonning on the A329. Continue on the A4, passing Frankie and Benny’s and the Bay restaurant, turning left onto Sonning Lane. The school drive is a short distance further on – turn left into the Bluecoat school when Woodley Saints Football Club is on your right.

From Henley-on-Thames, follow the A4155 towards Sonning, continue on Span Hill and Spring Lane, and turn left and cross the river on the B478. continue on the B478 (Thames St), and turn right on the roundabout onto Pearson Road. Take a left onto Sonning Lane and then Reading Blue Coat School is opposite Woodley Saints Football Club.

From the A4 East (Hare Hatch) follow the A4, past Sonning Golf Course on your left, Take a right onto Sonning Lane and the Reading Blue Coat school is opposite Woodley Saints Football Club.
